Payments: the agent era gets a checkout
The centerpiece of this year's announcements is a payments stack that treats AI agents as first-class customers. The Agentic Commerce Suite now lets you upload your product catalog and grant agents access directly from the Dashboard. Platforms on Stripe Connect get a preview of the same toolkit, letting connected accounts go agent-ready—with discovery, checkout, payments, and fraud detection handled by a single Stripe integration.
Stripe is also putting itself at the center of agent-to-agent commerce. The Machine Payments Protocol (MPP), co-authored with Tempo, lets agents transact programmatically via microtransactions or recurring billing. You can accept those agent payments in stablecoins or fiat through cards, Klarna, and Affirm via Shared Payment Tokens (SPTs) on the existing Payment Intents API.
Discovery is getting the agent treatment too. A partnership with Meta enables native checkout inside Facebook ads, collapsing the journey from discovery to purchase into one flow. Soon, customers will also be able to buy in AI Mode and the Gemini app through the Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP) via a new Google partnership.
Link grows an agent wallet
Link now functions as an agent wallet, letting you grant spending permissions while keeping visibility into every purchase and requiring approval on transactions. On the consumer side, Link expands its reach: US businesses can now accept Pix in Brazil and stablecoins through Link, with UPI in India in preview.
A dedicated Link tab in the Dashboard now shows the payment method's effect on conversion, authorization rates, and costs—so its performance isn't a black box.
Checkout and optimization updates
Checkout studio is the new hub for building and tuning the payment page. The preview includes an AI assistant, live transaction replay, and A/B testing with personalized recommendations. For tighter embed scenarios—sidebars, chat boxes, modals—Stripe Checkout gets a new embedded form.
Subscriptions are getting broader payment-method support: Pix and UPI now work with recurring billing, alongside localized currency presentment and cross-border payments. On the acquired-methods front, Sunbit (US), Bizum (Spain), and Pay by Bank (Finland) are newly available. TWINT now supports recurring transactions.
Adaptive Pricing, Stripe's AI localization tool, now picks the customer's preferred currency in real time using dozens of session signals, and can also localize subscription prices. A preview for Android lets users tap their card to the phone to save it, skipping manual entry.
Terminal and beyond
On the hardware side, the Stripe Reader T600 is a countertop device with an eight-inch screen capable of running custom apps—useful for loyalty or upsell flows. Terminal expands to 15 additional markets including Hong Kong and Mexico, plus new in-person methods like Alipay, Klarna, and UnionPay International. A standalone mode preview means you can start accepting payments with no code and no point-of-sale system.
Managed Payments, Stripe's merchant-of-record solution formerly for select businesses, is now open to all digital companies—covering indirect tax compliance in 80+ countries plus fraud and dispute management.
Smarter payment intelligence
Authorization Boost gets a preview for A/B testing against your current performance. A new AI layer powers Data Only authentication flows and PINless debit retries, with Stripe citing average gains of 3.8% in acceptance rates and processing-cost reductions up to 3.3%.
The 3DS product is now available standalone, extending regulatory compliance and fraud protection to payments that route through another processor. The Dashboard assistant now also handles payments analytics, explaining performance issues and root causes in plain language.
Radar: more signals, more models, broader reach
Fraud protection gets its largest update yet, aimed at newer attack types like token abuse and account fraud—while also helping acquirers and issuers beyond Stripe's own network.
Free trial abuse preventionflags high-risk signups without blocking genuine customers.Bot abuse prevention(preview) aims to tell legitimate AI agents apart from fraudsters.- Stripe Signals for multiprocessor setups can flag fraudulent payments on or off Stripe, and new preview signals predict disputes, early fraud warnings, pay-as-you-go abuse, multi-account abuse, and account-sharing abuse.

Billing, tax, and data: revenue infrastructure for the AI era
Agentic workloads have different commercial requirements than traditional software. Metering, rating, and payment collection need to happen in real time, and pricing models are often multidimensional and usage-based. Stripe’s Revenue updates target those patterns across Billing, Tax, and data access.
Stripe Billing

Money management: one home for global finances
For AI-native companies that operate globally from day one, financial operations are typically scattered across apps and spreadsheets. Updates to Atlas, Treasury, and Global Payouts aim to consolidate funds into Stripe — with a rewards card, free instant transfers among US businesses, and agent-ready financial accounts.
Stripe Atlas and Treasury

- Seller wallets (preview): Marketplace sellers can receive earnings, hold funds, and make on-marketplace purchases from their financial account balance. Prepaid debit cards for both sellers and customers are also in preview.
Treasury, Capital, and Issuing for Platforms
Stripe Treasury will soon offer users embedded components for Treasury and spend cards in a few lines of code. New Treasury for platforms features include bill pay, automated cash rewards, cash and check acceptance, real-time payments, and accounting integrations.
Stripe Capital is now available to connected accounts in France and Germany, with Australia and Canada coming soon. Lines of credit are in preview, letting accounts draw funds repeatedly up to an approved amount. Stripe also previewed the ability for platforms to underwrite businesses with no Stripe payment processing history, allowing them to receive capital and onboard in one flow.
For Issuing, Stripe previewed Issuing for agents, which lets businesses and agentic platforms issue single-use virtual cards programmatically so agents can make purchases and manage financial workflows autonomously. Live card programs for humans and agents, plus consumer debit issuing for prepaid rewards, disbursements, and branded cards, are also in preview.
Stablecoins and Crypto Expand Their Reach
Stripe is broadening its stablecoin and crypto offerings across payments, cards, and wallet infrastructure. Stripe Becomes More Programmable for Agents
As agents become a core part of how developers build on Stripe, the platform is investing in extensibility, reliable tools for agents, and new agentic surfaces to act on Stripe data. Highlights:
- Stripe Console (preview): An agentic execution environment in the Dashboard. Ask a business question in plain language for a structured diagnosis across your Stripe products, or give Console a task to execute — it asks for confirmation before consequential actions.
- Claimable Sandboxes API: AI partners and developer platforms can now embed Stripe into their platforms, with more test data like product catalogs pushed to live accounts. Automated key exchanges from sandboxes (preview) allow secure creation and passing of live API keys on your users' behalf.
