In the push to preserve your message, be careful not to overload the page with graphics. A single collection of data points, presented as one visualization with filtering controls, offers a solution. This approach compresses a large amount of information into a compact space and can even become a competitive differentiator.

Data Visualization as a Core Mobile Tool

Data visualization deserves a place in your mobile strategy because it lets you:

  • Condense the space and time needed to make your point,
  • Create a more visually engaging page,
  • Preserve the full integrity of your content for visitors on both mobile and desktop.

That doesn't mean you should abandon the practice of removing unnecessary content. If a piece of copy adds no value, cut it. But for the content that remains, ask whether a graphical treatment better serves your mobile audience than a paragraph of text or a static list ever could.
