Faster paths for everyday Dashboard tasks

Stripe has been quietly shipping a wave of Dashboard updates aimed at reducing the number of clicks required for common operational work. The changes target workflows like subscription management, refunds, invoicing, and customer lookup, with several new shortcuts and consolidated actions rolling out over the last few months.

Rebuilt customer pages surface more data

The customer detail view has been rewritten to prioritize the information operators need most. Coupons, subscription progress, and stored payment methods are now more prominent, and each customer page includes new aggregate figures such as lifetime spend and—for Stripe Billing users—monthly recurring revenue.

A single “Actions” button at the top of the page now bundles frequent tasks like creating a payment or applying a coupon, so you don’t have to hunt through nested menus.

Simplified manual payment creation

The flow for manually entering payments has also been redesigned. When recording a transaction, you can now pick between typing in new card details, reusing a customer’s saved payment method, or emailing a Stripe-hosted invoice instead.

Fewer steps for repetitive operations

Several high-frequency tasks that previously required multiple dialogs have been condensed:

  • Send receipts with one click: The receipt dialog now pre-fills the customer’s email address, so a manual resend takes a single action.
  • Duplicate invoices: A new duplicate button copies an existing invoice, letting you make a few edits before sending rather than rebuilding from scratch.
  • Cancel + refund in one dialog: Since subscription cancellations are frequently followed by a refund, the cancellation dialog now includes a refund option so you can complete both in the same step.

Keyboard shortcut for object IDs

For users who regularly match customers to payments or search for records, copying an object ID is now a system-wide keyboard shortcut. Pressing ⌘+I (macOS) or Ctrl+I (Windows/Linux) anywhere in the Dashboard copies the current object’s ID to your clipboard.

These updates are available now in the Dashboard. Stripe is continuing to solicit feedback on which workflows to tackle next through its support channel.
