Learn Privacy: A New Course on Protecting User Data
web.dev has expanded its curriculum with Learn Privacy, a course written by Stuart Langridge. The goal is to give developers practical guidance on how to keep user data private while building web applications.
The course positions privacy as a matter of trust. When a new user signs up for a product, the organization behind it receives that user's trust and carries the responsibility to protect their data. Developers are central to that effort, and this course is designed to help them understand what they can do.
Learn Privacy is structured to cover the practical side of the subject. It includes code snippets, guidance on best practices, and thought-provoking questions that developers should be asking themselves and their teams as part of a broader privacy journey.
This new offering joins an existing library of courses on web.dev, which includes:
Additional courses focused on core web development skills are planned, with more announcements coming soon.
