Firefox 154 Nightly Adds Long-Awaited Text Metrics Properties
Mozilla’s nightly channel now supports the CSS text-box, text-box-trim, and text-box-edge properties. That trio’s arrival in Firefox 154 means the feature set officially reaches “Baseline” status across major browsers.
Correction: Not Ship-Stable Yet
A developer involved in the work clarifies that the feature is currently enabled in Nightly builds only. That’s for testing and crash reporting. Don’t expect it in Firefox 154’s beta or stable channels; it’s still under active development. The rough target for general availability is Firefox 155, where it should land as “Baseline Newly Available.”
