Cloudflare Expands Partner Program with New Training and Managed Services Support
Cloudflare is broadening its partner program for managed service providers (MSPs), managed security service providers (MSSPs), and professional services firms. The expansion, first announced last year, is designed to help these partners build value-added services on top of the Cloudflare platform and support customers who want external expertise in areas like Workers development, multi-cloud load balancing, and WAF and DDoS management.
The program combines hands-on training, access to account managers and partner enablement engineers, and resources for sales and technical teams. The goal is to equip partners to guide customers through every stage of adoption, from initial sale to implementation, operation, and continuous optimization.
Accreditation Tracks for Partner Teams
Cloudflare has laid out a structured accreditation path for partners, with distinct tracks for sales, engineering, configuration, and services roles:
- Accredited Sales Professional — Covers key product features, customer opportunity identification, and solution matching.
- Accredited Sales Engineer — Focuses on Cloudflare’s technical differentiation and architectural advantages.
- Accredited Configuration Engineer — Teaches implementation best practices and day-to-day platform support.
- Accredited Services Architect — Launching in May; a deeper dive into cybersecurity management, performance optimization, and migration services.
- Accredited Workers Developer — In development; will cover building and deploying serverless applications with Cloudflare Workers.

Demand Across the Service Lifecycle
Partners already in the program are finding opportunities across multiple service areas, from network transformations and serverless development to managed security. Cloudflare cites examples of partners helping customers modernize their infrastructure and manage security operations.
In the digital transformation space, partners are guiding enterprises as they move from on-premises architecture to hybrid and multi-cloud environments. As one customer, Dr. Isabel Wolters, CTO of Handelsblatt Media Group, notes: "Cloudflare is streamlining our migration from on-prem to the cloud. As we tap into various public cloud services, Cloudflare serves as our independent, unified point of control — giving us the strategic flexibility to choose the right cloud solution for the job, and the ability to easily make changes down the line."
Serverless development is another key area, with partners using Cloudflare Workers to build edge-computing solutions. Henrik Bjergegaard, VP Sales at Queue-it, explains how the company integrated its virtual waiting room technology: "By partnering with Cloudflare, we've made it easier for our joint customers to bring our solution to their applications through Cloudflare Apps and our Cloudflare Workers Connector that leverages the power of edge computing." Queue-it’s service provides a first-in, first-out online waiting system for high-traffic events.
Partner Case Study: Zilker Technology
Zilker Technology, a managed services partner, demonstrates the type of outcome the program aims to support. Zilker was engaged by the retail arm of a major NFL team to stop carding attacks — a form of fraud where cyber criminals test stolen credit card numbers through small purchases on an eCommerce platform, also known as credit card stuffing or verification.
"Our client activated their Cloudflare subscription on a Thursday, and we were live with Cloudflare in production the following Tuesday, ahead of Black Friday later that same week," says Drew Harris, Director of Managed Services for Zilker. "It was crazy fast and easy!"
Beyond deploying Cloudflare WAF, advanced DDoS protection, and rate-limiting, Zilker migrated the client from a legacy CDN to Cloudflare’s CDN, improving site performance. Zilker now provides full-stack managed services and 24/7 monitoring for the retailer.
"Partnering with Cloudflare gives us peace of mind that we can deliver on customer expectations of security and performance all the time, every day. Even as new threats emerge, Cloudflare is one step ahead of the game," adds Matthew Fox, VP of Business Development at Zilker.
Opticca Security, another partner, supports its clients with deployments of Cloudflare Security solutions and Workers. "Opticca Security has grown our partnership with Cloudflare over the years to support the quick deployment, seamless integration, and trusted expertise of Cloudflare Security solutions, Cloudflare Workers, and more," says Joey Campione, President of Opticca Security.
Commitment to Partner Growth
Cloudflare sees the expanding partner network as essential to its broader mission. As the product portfolio grows at a rapid pace, so does customer demand for services provided by agencies, professional services firms, and managed security providers. The company says it remains focused on making Cloudflare the easiest and most rewarding platform for partners to implement and support.
