New Wallpapers for April 2022

Our monthly tradition continues: a fresh batch of desktop and mobile wallpapers to welcome the new month and bring a bit of variety to your screens. The collection below features artwork for April 2022, crafted by artists and designers from around the world.

Every wallpaper is available for free in two variants: with and without a calendar. As always, we gave each artist full creative freedom — the themes of the wallpapers were not influenced by us but designed from scratch by the artists themselves. You can click on every preview image to see a larger version.

Anja Sturm from Germany based this illustration on a character she created for a series about a poem her mother often told her as a child. In the poem, the mouse goes on an adventure; here it appears after the journey, ready for new ones.

Vlad Gerasimov, a designer based in Georgia, offers a wallpaper that pairs calming blue tones with vibrant yellow accents. April Showers of Design

PopArt Studio from Serbia approached this month's wallpaper opportunity with a no-occasion-needed philosophy: April itself is the celebration. Their "Swing Into Spring" creation leans on a pastel color palette and custom lettering font to deliver a breezy, minimal feel, underlined by a plant pattern overlay.

Swedish designer Ricardo Gimenes takes a different angle for his submission. "Coffee Morning" is a more straightforward, mood-setting visual meant to accompany those first moments of the day.

Designer Veronica Valenzuela from Spain invites everyone on a journey in "Walking To The Wizard." The illustration captures a group setting out together on a long road, following yellow bricks toward a destination. The theme taps into the classic story of a shared adventure.
