Audio collaboration arrives in Figma and FigJam

Figma and FigJam now support in-file audio, letting you share thoughts, ask questions, and run working sessions without leaving the canvas. A single click starts a conversation, which also works for presenting work to collaborators. A beta of live captions for audio in the Figma desktop app will roll out over the coming weeks.

Alongside audio, cursor chat offers a lightweight way to type a question or comment without interrupting the flow of a meeting. FigJam adds high-fives as a quick, visual way to acknowledge contributions or wrap up a team session.

Data and diagram export improvements

Several updates target common research and documentation workflows:

  • Spreadsheet import/export: Copy cells from a spreadsheet and paste them directly into FigJam as sticky notes. You can also export a selected set of sticky notes as a CSV file.
  • FigJam diagram export: Export a selection or an entire FigJam file as PNG, PDF, or JPG to move visuals into presentations or emails.
  • Line spacing controls: Adjust spacing in bulleted and numbered lists from the type details panel.
  • Multiple text sizes in FigJam: Resize a whole line or a portion of text within a text box, sticky note, or shape via the dropdown menu.

Improved copy and paste in Figma

Three new paste behaviors make asset placement and replacement faster:

  • Paste here: Use the right-click menu to paste precisely where you want.
  • Paste to replace: Hold Shift and press ⌘ + V or Ctrl + V to replace a selected object with whatever is on your clipboard.
  • Multi-paste: Select multiple destination frames or groups while holding Shift, then use ⌘ + V or Ctrl + V to paste the same content in the same position across all of them.
