The Figma app in ChatGPT now reaches into Buzz and Slides
Figma and OpenAI are expanding their existing ChatGPT integration beyond diagrams. The Figma app in ChatGPT can now generate starting points for visual assets and slide decks, which users can then open in Figma Buzz or Figma Slides for further editing. The update builds on the partnership announced earlier this fall, which let ChatGPT conversations be turned into FigJam flowcharts, Gantt charts, and other diagram types.
From prompt to polished asset in Figma Buzz
Figma Buzz is designed to let anyone create visual content such as posters, invitations, digital ads, and video collages without deep design experience. Now ChatGPT can generate an initial concept that can be moved straight into Buzz. For example, prompting ChatGPT for “modern, minimal posters” to promote a hackathon yields multiple variations covering visual identity, layout, and copy.
Once the generated assets are opened in Figma Buzz, they carry the underlying power of Figma Design. Users can change copy and typography, apply blend modes to shift a color palette, and resize designs for different social media platforms using Figma Buzz’s preset dimensions.

Jump-starting a deck in Figma Slides
Starting a new presentation is frequently the slowest part of a pitch, internal review, or sales cycle. With the new capability, ChatGPT can draft a slide deck in Figma Slides. Users can provide a narrative outline up front, or let ChatGPT propose a structure itself. In one example, asking for a “‘year in review’ deck template” with beats such as “goals and priorities,” “highlights from last year,” and “completed projects” produced two template options.

Those options can then be refined collaboratively in Figma Slides. Generated images can be replaced with team-owned assets, the template style can be adjusted to respect brand colors and type, and live interactive elements such as polls, stamps, and alignment scales can be added. Because the whole deck lives in Figma Slides, multiple people can contribute from the first draft onward.
Availability
The Figma app in ChatGPT is now available to all ChatGPT users outside the EU. Figma Buzz and Figma Slides support within the app is currently in beta. Details on how the integration works and where it is offered are documented in Figma’s help center.
