Figma publishes “Six Memos for the Future of Digital Creation”
Figma has released the ninth issue of its newsletter, Memos for the future, under the banner “Six memos for the future of digital creation.” The company asked six team members working across design, development, and community to write down their visions for building software in 2025. The resulting memos cover ideas from devs, designers, analysts, writers, PMs, and generalists.
Theme: upholding craft amid blurred roles
The issue opens with a question: In a time of blurred roles, new technology, and breakneck product cycles, how do we uphold craft and purpose in our work? The memos, shaped around that prompt, are meant to validate and challenge how teams chart their course for the new year. The issue also features a piece by Product Designer Chia Amisola on personalizing the web, exploring what may have been overlooked as demand grows for an internet that serves a broad set of needs.
