Figma Closes Series E at $10 Billion Valuation

Figma has announced the close of a new funding round, a Series E led by Durable Capital Partners with participation from new investor Counterpoint Global (Morgan Stanley). The round also saw continued support from existing backers Index, Greylock, Kleiner Perkins, Sequoia, and a16z. The news confirms the company's valuation at $10 billion and was shared publicly via an internal email from co-founder and CEO Dylan Field to the Figma team.

Funding the Multiplayer Vision

Field's message frames the investment around Figma's long-standing goal: making design accessible to all. Nearly nine years after the company's founding, Field emphasizes that this ambition is still in its early stages. The focus remains on multiplayer technology that transforms how teams collaborate, alongside building expert tools for designers and extending functionality to every role involved in product development.

The broader mission, as articulated in the announcement, is to empower teams to adopt a design-first mindset and, ultimately, to deliver more products that enable creative and visual collaboration for a wider audience. Field also acknowledged the designers and community members who have supported Figma's growth, noting the responsibility to serve them while welcoming new users "from students to the C-suite."

The email also expressed gratitude to Figma employees for their work over the challenging 16 months of the pandemic, a period marked by collective hardship and growth for the company.
