Figma rolls out Latin American Spanish to product and support

Figma has launched Latin American Spanish as its fifth product localization, the company announced July 2. The update brings local-language and culturally adapted user interfaces, plus dedicated support, to Spanish-speaking users across the region. The move follows Figma’s Brazilian Portuguese localization, which was announced at Config 2025, and is part of the company’s broader push to deepen its presence in Latin America.

“What’s happening in Latin America’s designer and developer community is remarkable,” said Yuhki Yamashita, Chief Product Officer at Figma. “Across the region, design is increasingly recognized as a powerful differentiator—whether it’s a small Brazilian startup crafting fresh digital experiences or an established regional enterprise scaling design systems to meet growing demand.”

Figma already counts a number of the region’s largest companies among its customers, including iFood, Itaú Unibanco, Mercado Libre, Nubank, Sicredi, TOTVS, and Quinto Andar. The company also points to usage data showing more than 10 million Figma files created across Latin America in the last year alone.

Localization is more than a language toggle for customer teams, according to Figma. Josias Cunha, Design Manager of Design Operations at iFood, said that “its full localization reflects our Brazilian way of building products, making workflows more fluid and aligned with our culture.” Fabricio Dore, Experience and Design Director at Itaú Unibanco, noted that the localization will help his team “design, develop, and ship products more easily.”

The launch comes with broader global momentum for the company. In Q4 2024, roughly 85% of Figma’s monthly active users were located outside the United States, and over 50% of revenue in 2024 came from non-U.S. markets. The user base also increasingly spans beyond design roles: about two-thirds of monthly active users in Q4 2024 identified outside traditional design functions, with approximately 30% self-identifying as developers.
