Agents Week: Rebuilding the Cloud for a Machine-First Internet

The web as we know it was designed for human eyes. Pages are laid out to hold attention, dashboards for clicking through, and interfaces are tuned for how people read, decide, and get distracted. Agents, by contrast, don't tire, don't wander, and don't care about aesthetics. They need speed, precise structure, and programmatic access. This week, we're examining what happens when we stop asking what we think agents need and instead ask the agents themselves.

That shift in perspective is the core of Agents Week. The central question isn't "what is an Agent Cloud?" but rather "what does your agent need from one?" The cloud and the web that sit on top of it are fundamentally human-shaped; every layer assumes a human in the loop. An Agent Cloud must therefore do double duty. It has to lay the groundwork for an agent-native future, where primitives are engineered for machines from the ground up, not retrofitted from human tools. At the same time, it must serve as a translation layer, bridging the human-shaped web that exists today with the agent-shaped one we are building toward.

This dual mandate is the throughline for the next five days. The conversation will span the primitives and execution layer required for this new paradigm, the evolution of the software development lifecycle when humans are taken out of the loop, and how organizations can enable employees and agents to interact securely with the right controls. The week also covers how this shapes the emerging agentic web—from discovery and access to payments—before grounding all of it in the practical reality of how agents and humans actually interact today.
