GitHub Security Lab Runs a Capture the Flag for Action Heroes
GitHub Security Lab's Capture the Flag (CTF) contest, titled "A Call to Hacktion!", runs from March 17 through March 21. Participation is a solo activity, and the event focuses on the security of GitHub Actions and workflow writing.
CTFs in software security require participants to perform attacks on a specified target to identify and exploit a vulnerability. A successful exploit yields the "flag." In this specific contest, your own GitHub Actions skills are the only tool needed; you'll use that knowledge to compromise workflows and learn the finer points of workflow security.
The CTF page will be updated with further instructions. Additional announcements may appear on the @ghsecuritylab Twitter feed.
Mark the calendar: March 17. The challenge ends five days later, on March 21.
