KidSuper builds a faster storefront with Next.js

Brooklyn streetwear label KidSuper has moved beyond its Shopify-managed storefront to a headless architecture. The cult brand, known for collaborations with Puma, Nike, and Louis Vuitton, needed a tech stack flexible enough to match its creative output.

Headless goes mainstream for indie fashion

Founder Colm Dillane and CTO Adham Foda saw early demand when Mac Miller wore their apparel on an iTunes cover in 2011, propelling the brand viral. As they grew, the pair recognized Shopify’s limitations and opted for a headless build with Next.js, enabling more direct control over the customer experience.
