DBX Platform Developer Terms Updated
Following the launch of the DBX Platform, Dropbox has revised its Developer Terms and Conditions. The updated terms take effect on February 15, 2018, and introduce several key provisions aimed at clarifying expectations for developers using the platform.
Security Requirements Tightened
The new terms include enhanced security requirements. Developers are now obligated to protect Dropbox user data accessed through their applications with more stringent safeguards, aligning with the platform's emphasis on data security.
Confidentiality Clause Added
A new confidentiality clause has been introduced to cover exchanges of sensitive information between Dropbox and developers. This provision is designed to protect proprietary or non-public details disclosed during the development and operation of applications.
Arbitration Provisions
The agreement now includes an arbitration clause designed to resolve legal disputes more quickly than traditional court proceedings. Developers who wish to opt out of this arrangement can do so by emailing [email protected], following the procedure outlined in the updated terms.
