Lab Life, Astronomy, and a Big Housing Win
The semester is barreling along at full speed. This week’s lab work is split between measuring the speed of light and calculating the galaxy’s mass, which conveniently means some quality time on the roof with the radio telescope. A presentation on pi0 photoproduction earned positive feedback from Nelson, and the next karate test (pre-2nd kyu) is scheduled for the coming Wednesday. There’s also a book project in progress that’s gradually taking on more impressive capitalization.
On the housing front, a major stroke of luck: I scored Scott 300, a townhouse apartment. My soon-to-be housemates are Reid, Josh, Laura, and Jennifer, rounding out what should be a fantastic place to live next year.
