Two Fresh Designs for April

Spanish designer Ricardo Gimenes contributes a pair of April wallpapers that capture very different moods. The first, “Happiness In Full Bloom,” is a celebration of spring’s arrival.

For a completely different aesthetic, Gimenes also offers “Blade Dance,” a design that suggests motion and energy with a sharper, more abstract feel.

Both wallpapers are available in 21 desktop resolutions, from 640x480 up to 3840x2160. You can choose a version with the April 2026 calendar for at-a-glance dates, or a clean version without the calendar for a minimal desktop.

April in Pastels

PopArt Studio from Serbia kept things deliberately light for their April contribution. The design mixes a custom lettering font with a subtle plant pattern, all rendered in soft pastel tones. As the studio puts it, the month itself is the occasion — no special date needs marking when spring is reason enough to celebrate. The preview shows the calendar layout; versions without the calendar are available from 320x480 up to 2560x1440.

Swing Into Spring

Head in the Clouds

Gal Shir's Dreaming captures the moment a walk turns introspective, when the imagination takes over and fills the mind with wandering thoughts. The illustration is available from 340x480 to 2560x1440, both with and without the calendar grid. A preview image accompanies the wallpaper for quick reference.

Lucky Green

Nathalie Ouederni from France offered a simpler take on the season: a Clover Field in full bloom. Those looking for a more minimal desktop can grab the wallpaper in six sizes — 1024x768, 1280x1024, 1440x900, 1680x1200, 1920x1200 and 2560x1440 — all a preview available in the download set.

Flowers Unfurl

LibraFire, another Serbian studio, chose a more dramatic metaphor for the change of seasons. Spring Awakens shows life spreading its wings after the dormant winter, petals opening to greet the warmer weather. The full-size collection includes sizes from 320x480 through 2560x1440, with a preview included for easy browsing before download.

A Spring Palette of New Beginnings

Serbian design studio PopArt Studio draws on a line from E. E. Cummings — “Sweet spring is your time is my time is our time for springtime is lovetime and viva sweet love” — to celebrate the season of blossoming. The wallpaper pairs floral imagery with a sense of renewal, a fitting visual prompt for rising to the occasion and showing the world what you’re made of.

Embracing the Downpour

Berlin-based designer Xenia Latii offers a different kind of seasonal mood. Rather than avoiding the April showers, the design leans into them, capturing rain as part of the month’s character.

Rainy Day

Calm on the Water

Designer Shawna Armstrong from the United States offers a more contemplative scene. A quote attributed to surfer Laird Hamilton — “We’re all equal before a wave.” — frames the artwork’s message about the shared experience of facing something powerful.

A Time for Reflection

A Landscape from a Music Video

Malaysia’s Kasra Design found inspiration in the visual language of Taylor Swift’s “Wildest Dreams” music video. The team behind the design notes that the art direction, story, and cinematography of the video provided the creative spark for the illustration, which brings a touch of cinematic scenery to your desktop.

While working in Germany, Nils Kunath looked outside the office window to the Black Forest for inspiration. The result is The Perpetual Circle, a design illustrating nature's continuous cycles. The download set is extensive here, covering common smartphone and monitor formats from 320x480 through 2560x1440.

A nod to Solitude Day on March 26 comes from Vlad Gerasimov in Georgia. Planning for Shower Season

Verónica Valenzuela’s “Ready For April” approaches the month with a touch of pragmatism. As the designer notes, rain is common in April, though she admits uncertainty about this year’s forecast. Either way, the wallpaper suggests being prepared. The no-calendar downloads for this piece cover resolutions from 800x480 to 2560x1440.

Ready For April…

Amalia Van Bloom’s “Good Day” focuses on the simple pleasures of the season. “Some pretty flowers and spring time always make for a good day,” she says, and the design reflects that sentiment with floral elements. This version includes a 640x1136 option for mobile screens, making it adaptable beyond desktop use.

A Nod to the Beatles

Closing out this set, WebToffee’s “Yellow Submarine” takes inspiration from the classic Beatles song. The team describes the track as fun yet thought-provoking, like much of the band’s work. The design is a visual tribute to the iconic tune, offered in resolutions from 360x640 up to 1920x1080.

Adventure Awaits

Anja Sturm’s design for the month draws from a childhood poem her mother used to tell her. The mouse character shown in the wallpaper is depicted after its journey, ready to set off on new ones.
