A New Month, A New Collection

As September arrives, the community-driven wallpapers series returns with a fresh set of designs for the month ahead. Artists and designers from around the globe have contributed this month’s collection, each bringing their own creative style to the project. Every wallpaper is available in multiple resolutions, with or without a calendar overlay, and can be downloaded free of charge.

As always, contributors were given full creative freedom. The themes are entirely their own, with no editorial direction, resulting in a wide-ranging and often personal set of images. For those interested in participating, the series is always open to new submissions.

Finding The Balance

Designer Tuomas Karjalainen from Finland draws inspiration from the seasonal shift and a moment of evening reflection. After a stressful day, he observed hares playing and a bat flying overhead while watching Jupiter rise, which reminded him of the changing seasons and the balance found during the equinoxes.

“I hope we all can find the same balance in our own lives.”

Finding The Balance

The wallpaper is available in a range of common desktop resolutions, with both calendar and calendar-free versions.

Sunny September

LibraFire from Serbia offers a more straightforward homage to the month’s closing days of warmth and light. The design focuses on the simple pleasure of late summer sunshine.

“September greets us and invites us to enjoy warm and sunny days.”

Wine Harvest in Serbia

September brings the wine harvest season to the slopes of Fruška Gora in Serbia, where hazy sunshine filters through the vines. This is the time of year when Bermet—Serbia's most renowned spiced wine—is prepared. Once a favorite of the Austro-Hungarian elite and even served aboard the Titanic, Bermet's recipe remains a closely guarded secret, produced by only a handful of families in Sremski Karlovci near Novi Sad. Beyond the vineyards, corn and sunflower fields stretch toward the horizon, catching the final warm rays of the season. Design by PopArt Studio from Serbia.

Back to the Grind

September is often called the January of the fashion industry, but it's not just designers who hit the reset button. Students return to classrooms and the workforce comes back from summer holidays, facing the challenge of juggling workloads that were set aside during carefree days. It takes extra effort to get back into the swing of things, but it's manageable. ActiveCollab wishes everyone a smooth transition. Design by ActiveCollab from the United States.
