Vercel restructures pricing around usage, not tiers
Vercel has overhauled its pricing model. The new structure keeps the familiar Hobby, Pro, and Enterprise plan names but shifts how costs accumulate: usage-based components start after monthly allowances that vary by plan. Below is a breakdown of what changed and what each tier includes.
Plan overview
Hobby ($0/month) covers a web app or personal project with automatic CI/CD, the Web Application Firewall, global CDN, fluid compute, and DDoS mitigation. Traffic and performance insights are included.
Pro ($20/month) adds $20 of included usage credit, advanced spend management, unlimited viewer seats for team collaboration, faster builds with no queues, cold start prevention, and a free custom domain. Pro includes all Hobby features.
Enterprise (custom pricing) targets production workloads that need guest and team access controls, SCIM and directory sync, managed WAF rulesets, multi-region compute with failover, a 99.99% SLA, and advanced support.
All prices are in USD and exclude VAT, GST, and other taxes calculated from your billing address where required.
Compute and functions
Vercel Functions now run on Fluid compute with Active CPU pricing, meaning you pay for execution time rather than idle resources. The Hobby plan includes 4 hours of Fluid Active CPU and 360 GB-hrs of Fluid Provisioned Memory per month. Pro starts metering at $0.128 per additional CPU hour and $0.0106 per additional GB-hr. Function invocations start at $0.60 per 1M over the 1M monthly allowance.
Service Requests (beta) on Pro include 1M requests/month, then cost $0.50 per 1M. Vercel Sandbox, also in beta, tracks Active CPU, provisioned memory, sandbox creations, data transfer, and concurrent sandboxes separately. Concurrency limits jump from 10 on Hobby to 10K on Pro. Snapshot storage is 15 GB on Hobby and metered from $0.08 per GB-month on Pro.
The Vercel Container Registry (beta) offers 10 GB of image storage per month on Hobby and charges $0.10 per GB-month on Pro. Fast Origin Transfer allows 10 GB/month, billed from $0.06 per extra GB on Pro.
Networking and delivery
Edge Requests are 1M/month on Hobby and 10M/month on Pro, beyond which Pro charges start at $2 per 1M. Fast Data Transfer allowances are 100 GB/month on Hobby and 1 TB/month on Pro, with overflow billed from $0.15 per GB. Enterprise quotas are custom. Regional pricing applies.
Firewall and security
The Vercel Firewall supports up to 3 custom rules on Hobby, 40 on Pro, and 1,000 on Enterprise. IP blocking has the same pattern (3/100/1,000). System bypass rules jump from none on Hobby to 25 on Pro and 100 on Enterprise.
Firewall rate limiting allows 1M requests/month on Hobby, with Pro charging from $0.50 per 1M allowed requests. The OWASP Core Ruleset is only available as a custom add-on for Enterprise. Automated DDoS mitigation and an AI Bots managed ruleset are included across plans. Bot Protection managed rulesets come with BotID; basic checks are bundled, but Deep Analysis costs $1 per 1,000 checks on Pro. Attack Challenge Mode is included.
Caching and storage
Content delivery includes a zero-config CDN cache, automated compression, background revalidation, stale-while-revalidate, and Incremental Static Regeneration (ISR). ISR Reads are 1M/month on Hobby, then $0.40 per 1M on Pro; ISR Writes are 200K/month, then $4 per 1M.
Blob storage offers 1 GB/month on Hobby with $0.023 per GB on Pro. Simple operations (10K/month) cost $0.40 per 1M; advanced operations (2K/month) cost $5 per 1M. Blob data transfer is 10 GB/month, then from $0.05 per GB.
Image optimization includes 5K transformations/month on Hobby, scaled from $0.05 per 1K on Pro. Cache reads are 300K/month and writes 100K/month on Hobby; overage starts at $0.40 per 1M reads and $4 per 1M writes. Global Config reads/writes are likewise metered: 100K reads/month then $3 per 1M, and 100 writes/month then $1 per 100 writes.
Microfrontends are capped at 2 projects per plan on Hobby and Pro, with each additional project costing $250/month on Pro. Routing allowances are 50K requests/month on Hobby, then $2 per 1M on Pro.
AI add-ons
v0 is a paid add-on on Pro and Enterprise. Vercel Agent (beta) runs at $0.25 per million tokens plus pass-through token cost on Pro. AI Gateway includes observability, image generation, bring-your-own-key, load balancing, spend monitoring, and automatic retries. Token Requests are 500/month on Hobby, pricing on Pro from $3.00 per 1,000. Triggers are 1,000/month on Hobby, $0.95 per 1,000 on Pro.
Builds and collaboration
Automatic CI/CD, environment variables, build logs, remote cache, monorepo support, and webhook triggers apply to all plans. Hobby provides no custom environments; Pro includes 1, Enterprise 12.
On Hobby, basic build machines are included. Pro meters basic machines at $0.007/minute, standard at $0.014/minute, enhanced at $0.028/minute, and turbo at $0.105/minute. Elastic machines charge $0.0035 per CPU minute on Pro. Deployments are unlimited with instant rollback. Rolling releases are an Enterprise feature; Pro includes 1 project. A custom preview deployment suffix costs $100/month on Pro.
Pro includes a single developer seat at $20/month with unlimited viewer seats; Enterprise pricing for seats is custom. Vercel Toolbar is available to all plans.
