Enterprise features, no enterprise contract required

Cloudflare has opened up its product catalog to enterprise customers who want to evaluate tools before committing to a contract. Any product not already included in an existing enterprise agreement can now be enabled directly from the dashboard by an administrator, with no spending caps or usage limits imposed during the trial period.

Once enabled with a single click, the product becomes available for immediate configuration, letting teams validate functionality in their own environment.

The evaluation workflow

After activation, customers get roughly two weeks of hands-on time before Cloudflare’s sales team checks in. That conversation covers feedback, and if the product proves useful, it can be folded into the existing contract. Teams that need longer to assess a product can extend the evaluation window, and anyone who decides the tool is not the right fit can be offboarded without penalty.

Documentation and standard onboarding resources are available during the trial, and the sales organization remains on hand for any questions that come up.

What is and isn’t self-service

Cloudflare plans to expand self-service access to more capabilities that have traditionally required an enterprise agreement. Improvements to visibility and the guided setup experience are expected over the coming months.

Not every product will ever be fully self-service. Offerings such as access to the China Network and the Registrar service will still require a more tailored approach, and Cloudflare will look for ways to streamline that process where possible.

Support for the following products is still on the roadmap: R2, Cache Reserve, Image Resizing, CASB, DLP and BYOIP. For everything else, the option to start evaluating is available in the dashboard now.
