Dropbox iOS SDKs updated for iOS 7

Developers preparing their apps for iOS 7 can continue using Dropbox without compatibility concerns. The SDKs for the Chooser, Sync API, and Core API have all been updated with iOS 7-friendly UI elements while retaining backward compatibility with the iOS 6 design language. Whichever OS version your users are running, your Dropbox integrations will render appropriately.

Note that each SDK leverages the Dropbox app on the client when it is installed. The iOS 7 version of the Dropbox app will arrive a few weeks after launch, so you may still see the older UI in the interim.

For developers who cannot ship an update before users migrate to iOS 7, existing iOS SDK versions remain functional. Dropbox has tested and confirmed that previous SDK releases work correctly on iOS 7, just without the new iOS 7 visual updates.

Chooser is now open source

The iOS Chooser has also moved to full open source distribution under the MIT license. The SDK package now includes source code, and everything is available on GitHub.
