Dashboard Changes
Deleted teams and personal accounts are no longer immediately purged. A buffer period now applies—7 days for teams and 48 hours for personal accounts—during which they can be recovered. Usernames and slugs only become available after this window closes.
Using a team slug that previously belonged to a personal account’s username is now possible, but only after that personal account deploys to the team, which "unlocks" the name. Meanwhile, the "Billing" page for Hobby personal accounts now clarifies that these accounts cannot be upgraded and remain free indefinitely, with a note that teams are intended for professional use or collaboration.
The dashboard has gained an "Invite Team" button for both personal accounts and teams, streamlining the creation of new teams and member invitations. Other small refinements include the Tokens page now displaying a "Load More" button when more than 20 tokens exist, and public deployments showing actual Domains on their overview instead of a – placeholder. The team settings also include a new "Preview Deployment Suffix" fieldset to replace the now.sh suffix with a custom domain.
Additionally, the "need help?" link in each project’s Domains settings now routes to the support form rather than a ZenDesk modal.
Git Integration
For the GitHub integration, personal accounts on Vercel can only be linked to personal accounts on GitHub—connecting to GitHub organizations is no longer permitted.
Documentation Updates
Several documentation improvements landed this month. Configuration and API reference guides now appear in documentation search results. Information about retrieving data for a team has moved from the "Users and Teams" section under Platform to the API reference. The maximum payload size for Serverless Functions is now formally documented, as is the X-Robots-Tag header set to noindex on Preview Deployments.
Instructions for disconnecting the GitHub, Bitbucket, or GitLab integration have been added to their respective documentation pages. The Developer Tools Console on the Documentation now prints a link to the corresponding Git commit, and all examples with no corresponding option in Project Settings have been removed.
Deployments and Domains
Personal accounts downgraded to the Hobby plan will no longer see their deployments blocked. For new deployments, Ruby has been updated to version 2.7.x.
In the domains area, moving a domain between personal accounts or teams works correctly again. The .yt TLD is no longer available as it requires a local address.
