Vercel Agent Can Now Be Pinged in Slack
Vercel has brought its AI teammate, Vercel Agent, directly into Slack. Available today in Public Beta for Pro and Enterprise teams, users can now mention the agent in a channel or thread just like a colleague, and it will parse the ongoing conversation to provide answers or take on tasks.
The move targets a common workflow pain point: decisions are made in Slack, but the actual work happens elsewhere. Vercel for Slack aims to close that gap by letting teams ask the agent about their infrastructure or hand off execution without leaving the chat window.
What the Agent Does
Positioned as the "first responder" for production apps, the agent can dig into logs, metrics, and deployments when something goes wrong, identify the root cause, and suggest a fix — often before a developer has even opened a laptop. It also review pull requests, flagging regressions and risky changes that a standard passing CI run would not reveal.
