Chris Coyier, the man behind CSS-Tricks, has a long-running sponsorship deal with Automattic, the company that builds Jetpack alongside a slew of other WordPress tools. He’s a daily Jetpack user himself and spends a lot of effort evangelizing its features and perks.

Still, he keeps picking up on a persistent vibe: a fair number of folks in the WordPress community seem hesitant about Jetpack, or even outright dislike it. Coyier wants to get to the bottom of that friction, not just to be a better sponsored voice but to hand Automattic genuinely useful feedback for improving the product.
