GitHub and Major League Hacking (MLH) are teaming up again for Local Hack Day: Share (LHD: Share), a 12-hour global event aimed at helping students wrap up the projects and portfolios they’ve been building all year. Scheduled to kick off on April 3, 2020, at venues around the world, the hackathon is designed as a “finish-up-athon” — a dedicated window to close out loose ends, polish your resume, and get your work demo-ready.

What You’ll Get Out of the Day
LHD: Share is the third installment in MLH’s Local Hack Day series. As with previous editions, the goal is straightforward: give students the infrastructure to run their own 12-hour hackathons. Past projects have ranged from music recommendation engines to self-healing microservices with voice assistants, and even a mailbox notification system. It’s a low-pressure environment built for exploring new technologies hands-on.
Workshops throughout the day are focused on sharpening communication skills, with structured opportunities for attendees to present their work and share what they’ve built.
