Godot 4.0 Now Generally Available, Release Party at GitHub HQ

The wait is over: Godot 4.0, the free and open source cross-platform game engine, has officially hit general availability. After growing into one of the fastest-moving projects on GitHub, the engine’s latest major release is out in the wild.

With the Godot team in San Francisco for next week’s Game Developers Conference (GDC), the engine’s stewards are celebrating at a release party hosted at GitHub HQ. The event runs Wednesday, March 22, from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm PT, at 275 Brannan St, San Francisco, CA 94107.

Attendees can mingle with core contributors and fellow game developers—professional, amateur, or hobbyist—who use Godot worldwide. Registration is open now via the event link.
