GitHub Sponsors opens to Indian developers
GitHub Sponsors is now available to all developers in India with no waitlist. Developers with an Indian bank account can sign up immediately, and those previously on the waitlist have already been onboarded into the program.
India is home to the second-largest developer community on GitHub, with more than eight million developers and over 200 million contributions to open source projects in the last year. More than 10 million software projects worldwide depend on packages created in India.
