GitHub’s native mobile apps reach general availability
GitHub for mobile is now out of beta and available to everyone on iOS and Android. The fully native apps, first announced at GitHub Universe, let developers triage issues, review pull requests, and merge code without sitting at a desk. During the beta period, testers collectively commented on, reviewed, and merged nearly one hundred thousand pull requests, alongside tens of thousands of team interactions.

What you can do on mobile
The apps are built around bringing key parts of the GitHub workflow into a touch-first interface:
- Swipe through your inbox: Manage notifications by swiping to finish tasks or saving items to revisit later.
- Respond to issues: Jump into discussions and post comments while away from your main machine.
- Handle pull requests: Merge and mark pull requests to keep work moving from anywhere.
Notification handling is a core focus, with the mobile experience tying into GitHub’s recently refreshed web notifications system for a consistent workflow across desktop and mobile.
Availability and roadmap
GitHub for mobile is available now for individual plans, Team, and Enterprise Cloud via Google Play or the App Store. Enterprise Server support is still in development, with the team working on the necessary features and APIs to ship it later this year.
