A Note on January's Report
January saw no downtime incidents affecting GitHub's core services. This month's update, however, includes a preliminary account of an incident from early February that remains under investigation.
February 2: Service Errors and Mitigation
On February 2 at 19:12 UTC, service monitors flagged a high rate of errors across issues, pull requests, GitHub Codespaces, and GitHub Actions. The incident was mitigated and has been fully resolved.
Because this event occurred only recently, the contributing factors are still being examined. A more detailed breakdown will be shared in next month's availability report.
