GA Week 2022: What You May Have Missed
In 2019, we created a chart for Cloudflare's IPO S-1 document that tracked major releases since the company's founding in 2010. The resulting curve told a clear story about expansion: the volume of shipped products and services has grown steadily year over year.
A Recap of This Week's Launches
Back in 2014, we saw only a handful of major releases annually. Fast forward to today, and updates, releases, and changes are constant. This September, a convergence of products reaching general availability made it practical to bundle them into what we called GA Week.
Now that GA Week has concluded, the team is preparing for Birthday Week, which arrives this Sunday. Here's a summary of everything we made generally available this week.
- Products that started as open or private betas have now transitioned to full availability.
- The release cadence reflects how a growing company ships more and iterates faster.
You won't need to wait a full year for more GA announcements—we'll continue shipping betas and making products generally available throughout the year. Iteration remains central to our approach as we push every product toward market leadership.
"But it's not just about making products work and be available, it's about making the best-of-breed. We ship early and iterate rapidly. We've done this over the years for WAF, DDoS mitigation, bot management, API protection, CDN and our developer platform. Today, analyst firms such as Gartner, Forrester and IDC recognize us as leaders in all those areas."
Now, onwards to Birthday Week!
