Mad Fish Digital, based in Portland, OR, contributed a wallpaper rooted in volunteerism and civic engagement. The team aligns its volunteer goals with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, focusing its giving on climate action, peace, justice, and inclusive societies. Team members donate their time to non-profit organizations throughout the year, and the design encourages viewers to search out volunteer opportunities in their own communities.

PopArt Studio from Serbia turns the season's shift into a scene of cozy anticipation. The design frames autumn as "a second spring when every leaf is a flower," per the Albert Camus quote that inspired it. Warm leaf tones pair with the small details of wet-weather gear—raincoats and squeaky boots—as signs that the season is arriving.

This month's desktop wallpaper collection leans into the atmosphere of changing seasons — with images that range from whimsical and dreamlike to warm and contemplative.

"The leaves are changing their colors now, but the nights are still warm. There's something different tonight… do you feel it? It's like the air tastes like a soft marshmallow and you're sitting by a warm fire in the middle of the forest, while the nature that surrounds you is transforming. It's ok, small changes are normal and all you can do is sit back, look at the stars and embrace the world that evolves around you."

The team at MasterBundles from Ukraine drew inspiration from the olfactory cues of the season for this design. They note, "Autumn is an incredibly beautiful time — its aromas are so bright that they easily come to mind. One of the brightest autumn aromas is the smell of fallen oak leaves. It inspired our designers to create this calendar."

Wine Harvest Season

September marks the wine harvest in Serbia. This design captures the hazy sunshine over the vineyards of Fruška Gora, where Bermet — a spiced wine once served on the Titanic and favored by the Austro-Hungarian elite — is made. The recipe remains a closely guarded secret, produced by only a handful of families in Sremski Karlovci near Novi Sad, where corn and sunflower fields stretch to the horizon.
