A Charity Conference for the Future of Tech
DevFest for Ukraine is a charitable online conference running June 14–15, featuring 20 industry-leading tech speakers in support of Ukraine. The event will cover key developments in Android, web, and AI, with live streams and sessions originating from London and Lviv.
What the Event Offers
The two-day program mixes live and recorded sessions with real-time Q&A opportunities. Attendees can expect technical deep dives, inspirational keynotes, and networking with peers and practitioners shaping modern tools and platforms. Featured speakers include Romain Guy and Chet Haase, who have been involved with Android since version 1.0, Jhey Tompkins and Una Kravets from the Google Chrome team, and Robert Crowe from the TensorFlow team, who will discuss ML development trends.
Participation is donation-based, granting access to both the live broadcast and post-event recordings. A detailed schedule is available on the DevFest for Ukraine website.
Where the Funds Go
All proceeds support selected charitable causes, with allocation handled transparently and publicly. The organizers have published an explanation of why each organization was chosen.
The initial fundraising target was $50,000, which was quickly surpassed alongside a $75,000 milestone thanks to individual and partner contributions. The current goal stands at $100,000. That amount could cover roughly 1,000 first aid kits, 320 bulletproof vests, or 60 tons of humanitarian aid—resources that can protect and save lives across Ukraine.
