DBX Platform expansion brings three APIs to general availability

Dropbox has rolled out its unified DBX Platform, consolidating the APIs and tools it offers to developers. The company first opened its API in 2008; since then more than 500,000 developers have built integrations on top of it, and the platform now handles over 2 billion API calls per day.

Over the past year, Dropbox quadrupled the number of API endpoints it exposes. Today’s announcement adds three more APIs to that set, moving them from preview into general availability.

Later this year, Dropbox plans to ship UI, performance, and feature upgrades to its Chooser and Saver Drop-ins. The ecosystem team is also slated to double in size by the end of 2017, with new hires across Engineering, Product, Developer Relations, Marketing, and Business Development.

Developers can send questions or feedback through the Dropbox contact form or the API support forum.
