New Hardware, New Engine for Aphyr.com
Aphyr.com has moved off its aging infrastructure and onto a fresh Linode instance. The migration has been smooth so far, and the site is now running under the new Cortex Reaver blog engine, which is live and operational.
The switch coincides with a bout of heavy winter weather. Portland received 15 inches of snow this week, which has snarled travel for many. Despite the conditions, the author made it through ticketing and security in about thirty minutes and rode the MAX light rail without issue, though the route did pass a couple of jackknifed semis. The immediate concern is a tight one-hour connection at SeaTac—a schedule that could prove challenging.
