API v1 Retirement Takes Effect September 28
Dropbox is shutting down API v1 this Thursday, September 28th, 2017, as part of the previously communicated deprecation timeline. After that date, all API v1 endpoints will return a 400 error with the response body {"error": "v1_retired"}. Applications and integrations that have not yet moved to v2 may stop functioning as a result.
Developers who haven't completed the migration should consult the migration guide for instructions on updating their code. The v2 API was designed to provide a more consistent and scalable foundation for the platform, and the transition is part of Dropbox's ongoing efforts to improve the developer experience.
Support and Resources
For questions about the shutdown or migration, Dropbox points developers to its contact form and the API support forum. Further reading is also available in the migration guide's reference section.
