Workers Launchpad announces first startup cohort, expands to $2 billion
Cloudflare has selected the inaugural group of startups for its Workers Launchpad program and added 14 new venture capital partners, growing the pool of potential funding from $1.25 billion to $2 billion across 40 VC firms. The program, first announced during Birthday Week 2022, connects startups building on Cloudflare's developer platform with investors interested in backing them.
New VC partners expand the program's reach
The newly added firms bring the total number of participating venture partners to 40. These investors have previously backed companies including Asana, Canva, Figma, Netlify, Vercel, and Area 1 Security, which Cloudflare acquired in 2022. Together, the expanded partner list covers startups across North and South America, Europe, and Asia.
Several of the new VC partners have observed the benefits of the Workers platform through their own portfolio companies and are prepared to offer capital and resources to help Launchpad participants scale their businesses.
Fall 2022 cohort features 25 startups
Cloudflare received hundreds of applications for the Fall cohort from startups across more than 30 countries. The selected companies span a range of use cases, from developer workflow tools to ecommerce services. What they share is a reliance on Cloudflare's developer platform to build secure, reliable products faster than would otherwise be possible.
The first cohort includes 25 startups. The companies and their descriptions are listed below:

Applications remain open for future cohorts
The Launchpad program will select new startups on a quarterly basis. Startups already building on Workers who are interested in pitching to participating VCs can apply through Cloudflare's Launchpad page. Developers new to the platform can access a year of free Cloudflare services through the Startup Plan, explore examples on the Built with Workers site, and join the Cloudflare Developer Discord community.
