Veronica Valenzuela from Spain takes a thematic shift from the previous design, exploring a sense of wonderment. Her piece, Discovering The World Through Children’s Eyes, is inspired by a quote from Jostein Gaarder's Sophie’s World: “To children, the world and everything in it is new, something that gives rise to astonishment. It is not like that for adults. Most adults accept the world as a matter of course.”

Valenzuela’s design draws on a journey through Norway, contrasting the scale of its fjords with the intimate discovery of a child. The image captures a scene where a moose is the only other presence, a nod to finding the extraordinary in the everyday.

French designer Philippe Brouard contributes a wallpaper built from repeating geometrical shapes that evoke lizard skin, a playful nod to waiting out the last weeks of winter.

Vlad Gerasimov from Georgia offers a detailed scene that walks the line between realistic and cartoonish. The illustration fills a comfortable corner with plants, books, bottles and shelves — exactly the kind of slightly unreal atmosphere found in great shops or cafes.

Two designs this month tell seasonal stories. PopArt Studio from Serbia focuses on the Valentine's theme with a touch of humor: “Forget Lady and the Tramp and their spaghetti kiss, ’cause Snowflake and Cloudy are enjoying their bliss. The cold and chilly February weather made our kitties knit themselves a sweater. Knitting and playing, the kitties tangled in the yarn and fell in love in your neighbor’s barn.”

On the other end of the spectrum, Canadian designer Igor Izhik offers a farewell to the season itself: “Although I love winter (mostly because of the fun winter sports), there are other great activities ahead. February, the last winter month, this year is even one day longer. But I don’t mind. Thanks, winter, and see you next year!”

Comic Hearts and Cozy Cats

Ricardo Gimenes from Sweden contributed a playful take on Valentine's Day with Love Angel Vader. The design imagines what happens when a certain sci-fi villain gets swept up in the season of hearts — the accompanying quote, "Valentine's Day is coming? Noooooooooooo!", sets the tone perfectly.

Zlatina Petrova from Bulgaria offers a more universally appealing subject with Ice Cream Love, explaining her rationale: "My inspiration for this wallpaper is the biggest love someone can have in life: the love for ice cream!" The sweet-themed design is a colorful celebration for those who prefer dessert to romance.

For something more ethereal, Vlad Gerasimov from Georgia created Magic Of Music. While no artist quote accompanies this one, the visual of flowing sound invites a contemplative break during the month.

This design offers extensive resolution support. The calendar-free versions run the gamut from 800x480 for smaller displays all the way up to 5120x2880 for high-end monitors, with more than two dozen sizes in between, including 2560x1600 and 3840x2160.

Angelia DiAntonio from Ohio, USA, drew on personal inspiration for Febpurrary. "I was doodling pictures of my cat one day and decided I could turn it into a fun wallpaper — because a cold, winter night in February is the perfect time for staying in and cuddling with your cat, your significant other, or both!" This lighthearted illustration is a cozy fit for the doldrums of late winter.

As the shortest month wraps up, the collection of February wallpapers showcases a broad range of visual styles. Some artists lean into the thematic heart of the month, while others prefer to capture the transitional mood between winter and spring, or simply offer playful, colorful distractions for your screen.

Verónica Valenzuela from Spain contributes a piece titled "In Another Place At The Same Time," driven by the anticipation of plans as spring approaches. Reflecting on the month, Valenzuela notes, "February is the month of love par excellence, but also a different month... It is a perfect month to make plans because we have already finished the post-Christmas crunch and we notice that spring and summer are coming closer." The artwork is meant to evoke the idea that someone else is also making plans for journeys to unknown lands.

MasterBundles from Ukraine chose to keep the Valentine’s Day theme subtle with "Flowers And Snowflakes". The artists explain they intentionally avoided leaning too hard into the holiday, instead using only its basic attributes alongside a "pure pastel blue color scheme." This design reflects the unique position of February, balancing the visual cues of winter and hints of spring.

“Greben” Icebreaker

The Danube, Europe’s second-longest river, weaves through ten countries. When winter freezes its waters and halts traffic, a compact icebreaker named Greben (Serbian for “reef”) steps up to keep things moving. It works the Đerdap gorge, also known as the Iron Gate, which is the longest and largest gorge in Europe.
