Figma Adds AI Credit Tracking and Flexible Purchasing Options
Figma is introducing new tools to help teams monitor their AI credit consumption, along with additional ways to purchase credits as usage grows. The company previously extended AI credits to every Figma seat and plan, and these updates are designed to give both admins and individual users more control over how those credits are spent.
Admins Get Better Oversight of AI Usage
Starting today, billing dashboard admins can see which team members are using AI features and how many credits those actions have consumed. This gives organizations a clearer picture of their AI adoption and spending patterns across the team.
Individual users also gain more visibility into their own activity. They can check their credit balance, see when credits reset, and—for most AI features—see exactly how many credits each individual action used.
Two New Ways to Buy Additional AI Credits
Building on the credits already included with seats, Figma is rolling out two purchasing options for teams that need more. Both are being introduced in stages:
- AI credits subscription: A shared pool of monthly credits at a more favorable rate, aimed at teams with regular AI usage. Subscriptions to packages of monthly credits become available starting March 11, 2026.
- Pay-as-you-go billing: Teams can pay for credits on demand up to a specified spending limit, either as a supplement to the subscription or on its own. This works well for teams with unpredictable usage or those that occasionally need to top up. Availability follows by Q2 2026.
Note that starting March 18, 2026, Figma will enforce all seat credit limits.
