Vercel Picks 40 Teams for Its AI Accelerator

Vercel has announced the participants for its AI Accelerator, a program aimed at supporting early-stage AI startups and individual builders. From a pool of more than 1,500 applications, the company selected 40 participants—an acceptance rate below 3%—spanning business-to-business and consumer-focused ventures, as well as solo developers working on everything from deepfake detection to legal contract comprehension.

The cohort includes companies tackling diverse problems: Arterial applies AI to urban planning, Dili automates due diligence, and Operant BioPharma is using AI to pursue treatments for deadly diseases. On the consumer side, Jenni—which reports over one million users—helps with research paper writing, while Quest AI has generated more than 400,000 projects from Figma files. Dispatch, an AI-powered inbox for Slack, currently processes two million messages per day.

AI and the Vercel Ecosystem

Vercel notes that AI-focused companies such as Scale, Jasper, Perplexity, Runway, Lexica, and Jenni launched on its platform with Next.js over the past six months. The company positions its infrastructure as a way for developers to concentrate on AI value creation rather than managing operations.

The company extended a thank-you to all applicants, who each received an email containing perks. Vercel has not announced whether another intake of the accelerator is planned.
